The book introduces etiology and pathology, differentiation of common diseases, treatment with acupuncture and moxibustion: apoplexy or stroke, the common cold, heat stroke, cough, asthma, vomiting and hiccups, choking, food retardation and nausea, diarrhoea, dysentery,constipation, prolapse of rectum, retention of urine, urination disturbance seminal emission, impotence, pulmonary tuberculosis, insomnia and amnesia, palpitation of the heart, depressive and manic mental disorders, epilepsy, vertigo, malaria, jaundice, edema, testis pain and swelling, beriberi, headache, hypochondriac pain, epigastric pain, abdominal pain, low back pain, obstruction syndromes, atrophic syndromes and sequelae of poliomyelitis, polyneuritis facial paralysis, sciatica, trigeminal neuralgia, menstrual irregularities, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, uterine bleeding, morbid leukorrhea, prolonged labour, lactation insufficiency and lactifuge method, prolapse of uterus, malposition of the fetus, acute infantile convulsions, chronic infantile convulsions and sequelae of encephalitis, infantile malnutrition, nocturnal enuresis, erysipelas urticaria, furuncle (malignant boil), parotitis (mumps), acute mastitis, appendicitis hemorrhoids, scrofula, thyroid enlargement, sprain and stiff neck, tinnitus, deafness and deaf-mutism, swelling and pain of the eyes and night blindness, rhinorrhea, epistaxis toothache, swelling and pain in the throat, shock hepertension, angina pectoris, thromboangiitis obliterans, urinary-tract infection, acute lumbar sprain, periarthritis of the shoulder, soft-tissue injury in the knee region, neurasthenia, glaucoma, retrobulbar neuritis, myopia, gastroptosis, spasm of esophagus and cardia, intestinal obstruction morning sickness, hysteria.
