Alamuhau named after a Uygur girl, is a popular pasde deux music in Tulufan Xinjiang. It is played with boys and girls singing in antiphonal style and dancing for two people. The dancing style is simple and unsophisticated and typical of local color. The music keeps the old dancing rhythm and a refrain of fast rhythm is inserted in the latter half of the music so that music sounds more enthusiastic and lively.
