  • More Girls in the Opposite Dyke Fields
The Yi? Arranged by He Zhanhao
This is a song loved to sing in antiphony by the Yi youth while they are working in the fields. The girls in the opposite dyke fields are singing songs while transplanting rice shoots. Although the burning sun is shining on their sweating faces, they still work enthusiastically. The fellows are unwilling to be shone, so they work even more hard and sing in antiphony. The flying notes are just like the beating hearts of those young people: to work to their best, to sing to their heart content and to enjoy their vigorous youth.
  • Swallow
Kazak Folk Song Arrangement: Zhang Zihui
After a short introductory music is played by wind shistle and triangle organ, the solo play by the cello brings us to the high mountains. A young man starts to sing a sad song, the flute accompanies string music and Aeolian bells express a moving story. Ah! Listen to me sing my dear swallow song. Dear, listen to me say my dear swallow! Don? forget your promise, don? change your mind, I belong to you, and you belong to me, my dear swallow!
  • A Lovely Rose
Uygur Folk Song Arrangement: Zhang Zihui
A lovely rose, Sai-di-ma-li-ya, A lovely rose, Sai-di-ma-li-ya, I ride on a horse hunting that day, you?e singing at the foot of the mountain, flying into the clouds. The song attracts me so much that I fall down the mountain-side, Ah! Your song seems to fly into the clouds.
  • Uncover YOur Covering
Xinjiang Folk Song Adapter: Zhang Zihui
The music has the combination of typical XinJiang dance and modern dance rhythm, while a special local color. The solo of various instruments makes a deep impression on the audience. (I) Uncover your covering, let me look at your eyebrow, your eyebrow is long and thin like the curved moon on the tree. (II) Uncover your covering, let me look at your eye, your eye is bright and shiny like a pearl. (III) Uncover your covering, let me look at your mouth, your mouth is small and red, like the sweet cherry in May. (IV) Uncover your covering, let me look at your face, your face is round and red, like the apple in autumn.
  • Song for washing
Music: Luo Nian Yi Adapter: Yang Qing
On a lofty hill, a stream flows by, a team of soldiers are washing clothes there, then a group of girls are singing happily and dancing gracefully, coming to give their hands. With its distinct rhythm and cheerful melody, the music presents the pure friendship between the soldiers and the girls.
  • There is a gold sun over Beijing
Tibet Folk Song Arrangement: Zou Ye
This is a Tibetan folk song spread far and wide at home and abroad. The music composer adapted it into a cheerful, strongly rhythmical dance music. The rich local accent from Erhu and flutes takes us to the lofty snow-capped mountains and also takes us to join the warm and hospitable Tibetan people.
  • Flowers bloom on the grasslands, Snow-capped mountains shine
A Tibet Folk Song Adapter: Yang Qing
This light music was adapted from the two Tibetan folk songs flowers bloom on the grasslands and Snow-capped mountains shine. The former was lovely and the latter was lyrical, both were harmonic, easy and smooth. For performing this music, Pipa, solo is just like drifting clouds and flowing stream, flute blowing is natural and unrestrained, Erhu playing is tasteful. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of KnagZhuang Plateau from the performance.
  • A Love-song of Kangding
A Xikang folksong Adapter: Yang Qing
In the dim background, a group of camels tread near from afar. Accompanying the sound of camel bell, flutes chant movingly. Horses tread on a magnificent mountain, a piece of colorful cloud, is just drifting over the grand town of Kangding. The sickle-shape moon is shining, how a majestic town of Kangding! A gentle sister from Li family, has a respectable personality. A robust brother from Zhang family, falls in love with that Miss Li, a beauty.
  • Chairman Mao is with us forever
    A Tibetan folksong
Music: Bing Heh Adapter: Zou Ye

This piece of music is very exquisite. The composer expressed its theme incisively and vividly with the help of wind and stringed instruments. There is a hill like a gold bottle, though on it there is no temple. I am reluctant to leave it, because the scenery is remarkable. There is a West Sea like a mirror, though in it there is no dragon, the sea water is green and clear. I love it all of a sudden. Dear Chairman Mao lives in Beijing, though I haven? seen you in person, I will never forget that, our happiness you have given.
  • Sorrow of the herdswoman
    Adapter: Zou Ye
This is a music spread far and wide all over China. At its beginning, the oboe performs the distressed motif like complaining and weeping. The girls standing on the opposite hill for whom you are herding sheep? Tears have wet your clothes, why you are so sad in deep? The hill is to desolate, the grass has become withered and yellow, sheep has nothing to graze, the heartless boss lashes me with willow.
  • Pastoral for the Prairie
A song from the film People on the Grasslands
Music: Xiang Yi Arrangement: Yang Qing

Within your sight, there are green hills, vast grasslands, blue sky with white clouds; fatty cows and sheep. While you enjoy the scenery, you can also hear the melodious love song coming from afar. Larks fly and sing in Pairs just for love. Wild geese land on prairie just for comfort. We are working so hard, just for pursuing a happy life.
  • The beautiful Prairie is my Home
Music: Alaten Aole Arrangement: Yang Qing
After slow prelude, the flutes strike out the rising and falling melody, the tune sounds like fresh and joyous breeze, with the intervening of the stringed instruments, the music come to its climax. The Erhu plays volubly to express the theme. Green grass, color flowers are everywhere. My home is the beautiful prairie. Clear water reflects the sunset glow. Butterflies dance, birds sing merry. Scattering horses just like color clouds. Cows and sheep are like cast pearls.
