The Four Treasures of traditional chinese stationery are: writing brush, rice paper, ink stick and ink slab. Brush is categorized by the hair type used: goat, weasel(golf). Paper, made from rice, is considered as one of the most famous Chinese inventions. The last two, ink stick and ink slab, are used to produce the ink for writing, or chinese artwork (calligraphy, and painting). Pre-made ink is also available to service the same purpose.
